1. キャンディ キャンディ CANDY CANDY SONG & BGM COLLECTION (COCX-39246/8)
On September
30, 2015, Nippon Columbia Co., Ltd released a large and comprehensive
collection of Candy Candy BGMs composed by Takeo Watanabe for the TOEI Candy
Candy animated series and the Candy
Candy
1992 OVA film. A veritable musical and nostalgic treat for Candy
fans, this 3-disc CD album contains 112 tracks, including BGMs
not included in the 1981 LP -- Candy Candy TV Original BGM Album (CX-7039). You

2. Candy Candy 1992 CD (COCC-9690)
This Candy Candy CD was
first
produced by Nippon Columbia Co., Ltd. in April, 1992, following the release of the third
CC OVA, "The Candy Candy Movie", that same year.
The CD contains 12 catchy, cheerful and melancholic songs composed by Takeo
Watanabe along with song lyrics written by Candy's own author, Keiko Nagita
(名木田恵子),
Toshio
Oka (丘灯至夫),
and Horie
Mitsuko (堀江美都子). Well-known anime singer Horie
Mitsuko
sang all of the songs except #10 "Suteki na Candy", which was sung by the
singing group, Koorogi '73. The
singer also wrote the lyrics for the 2nd song "Happy Door"
(幸せのとびら). Ten of the songs listed are new compositions which can be heard during certain
scenes in the CC movie. Included in the CD booklet are the lyrics of all
the songs in japanese.

3. French Candy Candy CD (Bande Originale du Dessin Animé Candy)
This is the first Candy Candy CD to contain the BGMs of the animated TV series. The BGM tracks were taken from the 1981 LP - Candy Candy TV Original BGM Album (CX-7039). It contains a mini booklet with Candy fanarts, a list of the songs and BGMs, French and Japanese (romaji) lyrics of the OP and ED theme songs, a brief history of Candy in Japan and France, and biographies of Takeo Watanabe, Mitsuko Horie, and Frédérique Horschédé (Dorothée). The booklet also mentioned a petition for the return of Candy, either as a manga, anime, or dvd: www.petition-for-candy.fr.st/ (site no longer active)
