Hi, Just read Candy's Birthday Poem posted under the Translations tab and wanted to point out for those that might be interested :

"...And the notes of a waltz echo in my ears

耳元によみがえってくる ワルツの調べ

*** ( I re-translated this line) The light steps, and rounds of laughter (London)
軽やかな ステップ みんなの笑い声の輪舞(ロンド)

Even Eliza and Neal are laughing..."

That "Rondo" I hi-lighted in blue is the Japanese term for London.
Knowing that adds a subtle nuance and mood in reading this poem, that the memory of place, of London, where she had her happiest times at St. Paul's -- beckons to her.

Wow! That's a wonderful nuance that would have been lost us non-native readers! Thanks so much for sharing your translation of that verse from this lovely poem! huggy.gif

To be fair, I love Terry, and I love Albert, too. I love both of them. I think feelings can change depending on your age, what point in your life, what lenses you see out of... smile.gif

Both are wonderful characters, but when you read CCFS you read so clear that Candy loves terry as a woman, and Albert as a sister!!!!

When Nagita created the Ardlay family being a teenager she thought in a big family of a Big gorgeous brother, and several sister and little brothers, and nagita was a sister of that gorgeus man. After that she started to think and write in the prince of the hill but helped by Igarashi...and in CCFS Albert demands not to be considered a Prince...that is a big slap for Igarashi since my point of view!!!

Hugs!!!

P.D. Yes alexa, for alfans, Candy was in love of albert again in London....
