I read about some questions that you all had regarding image linking or attaching:

You can use any image link or upload images here and have the forum software resize them. Attached images must not exceed the current PHP limit of 2MB.

Some more info for all the members that want to upload images :

apart imagebucket of imageshack i also own a free file hosting utility on one of my servers, which is faster, more efficient and the links never get broken.

The site is a YourForum.gr add-on, you have to register and then you can upload anything you like there. Having the forum here and the images on another server also speeds up the forum rendering.

The script i am talking about not only uploads the images or files ( ZIP, RAR ), but it can also upload a ZIP file full of images and extract them remotely on the server. It also CREATES BB CODES automatically ( IMG tags )

You can zip 10 photos in a file then upload the ZIP and have it extracted online creating for you 10 IMG tags in no time

Here you are !

YourForum Uploader

Cheers....

VERY COOL! heartthumbs.gif

I encourage all members to use this new image hosting at YourForum Uploader for their image links! Give it a try since it works best with the forum! thumbsup.gif

wow.gif That's a great feature, Nick!!!
What I don't like about Photobucket is that a free account doesn't allow to post images larger that 1024 pixel long! And it is very annoying when one wants to share large wallpapers or a manga page of high resolution. As far as I can see there's no problem like this in this new hosting. I guess as soon as I'm back from holidays to my good connection in Moscow I'll move my gallery to the new home. grinheart.gif

That's even cooler for it's something that's good for our forum. smile.gif

I don't know if I will be able to understand how to use it I hope so but I am sure it is great

So I tried to register tonight but when I received the mail for the account activation I clicked on the link and nothing happened. And then when I tried to login it was impossible. I clicked several times on the link and nothing happened.

I don't know if it is because I don't understand what to do or because of my computer which isn't powerful at all... cheers.gif

I tried to log in again and, after one more time trying unsuccessfully, I realized that it was because each time I had tried I had typed Annie-Brighton instead of the ponctuation Annie_ Brighton which was required. So I at last typed like this and it works perfectly since I am log in.

Thanks for the answer and sorry to have thought I wasn't registered when I was.It was my fault because I didn't notice as much the ponctuation which I had had to enter in order my pseudo to be accepted . cheers.gif

I'm glad it finally works for you, Annie! biggrin.gif I've also registered and used it to post some images in the forum and it works great! thumbsup.gif It's good to know there's another place we can store our photos/images and use for linking to the forum. What's cool is that it gives you the BB code to copy and paste directly into the forum posts without you having to click on the IMG tag links of the forum to post an image! biggrin.gif

Thanks Nila. It is so kind of you to say so. I don't know if I will be able to understand how it works. For the time being I had no time to see if I understand or not. I hope I will understand how it works. For what I called the "frog" I hadn't understood by myself I had needed explanations... this is why I don't know if I will be able to understand by myself or not how it works when I have time to try. huggy.gif
