Reading the CCFS novel in order, and discussing the third part with several fans here and in wattpad, has been so interesting, specially with the readers that didn´t kow about the blank pages in the Japanese one...

In one of this conversation a good friend of wattpad that is reading for the first time CCFS in order, mentioned that for her the blank pages are there to close some cicles in Candy´s life!!! I hadn´t read that interpretation before...

so I followed her interpretation and realise that can be a possibility and I see this pattern on them:

Yes, I believe those blank pages were put there to separate and group events in Candy's life that occurred around the same time. smile.gif For that reason, the chapters in the index somewhat follow a linear chronology, but not all the letters follow in this linear manner.

The Miami letters for example, are letters exchanged with her old friends in the future while she is living in Pony's Home, and yet they are tucked and introduced BEFORE Stair's death. Candy however, makes it clear when she starts "straying" form the timeline during her retrospections. smile.gif

I agree they separate or unit group of events, but the chronology changes, and that really is a puzzle as you know making the chronology... but is interesting to try to be in Nagita´s guessing how did she arrange the letters!!! and why.

also I like to see how Terry´s events are separated from blank pages, specially after susana´s obituary!!!! it is the end of the story that goes to the end in time when anohito opens the arms to embrace her.... really lovely...

Albert´s letters must be immerse in the previos letters of the third Chapter... that is a very interesting exercise too!!!

Hugs dear candyterry!!! terryhugs4you.gif

CCFS Volume 2, Page 164, is a Blank Page before the letter from Georges to Candy.

CCFS Volume 2, Page 215, is a Blank Page after the letter from Candy to Georges.

Attached File  CCAnime51.jpg ( 138.67K ) Number of downloads: 1

In the CC Anime episode #51, it shows that Georges picks up Candy’s letter for Mr. William at St. Paul Institute.

So, maybe Georges will be the one to pick up Candy’s diary and her letter for Mr. Albert at Pony’s Home.

I do believe he picked up the diary at saint paul... Sister Gray must be upset and worried after Candy left... and sure had to give explanations to Georges...

About Candy´s letter to Mr. Albert, i think Candy sent it by mail....

Well, anyway, I think those 2 blank pages have something to do with Candy’s diary.

If Sister Gray were worried, she might be the first person to read Candy’s diary.

Georges might also read Candy’s diary in order to find out where she could be.

And, I imagine that Georges would come to Pony’s Home before Candy went to the post office to send her diary to Mr. Albert…. teehee.gif

I didn't know that after the last letter to Albert and the one to Athony there was a blank page, breaking in a way the continuity of the Epilogue. Interesting, in the Italian Edition this blank pages thing has not been taken into account, I think this could be rather misleading!!! dontgetit.gif

It's a terrible omission by Kappalab. There is a reason they are in there.

Yes, really it is sad they are not in the italian edition, probably for Ricci they didn´t have any meaning... but you can see a patter on them...

And also as you say Cinzia the blank page before and after Anthony´s letter created a very good separation for the Epilogue!!!

Candy changes the subject and change in time before and after that letter!!! and definetively Albert´s letter must not be there... that was the final movement of nagita in her play to give something to alfan... A FAKE ILUSION!!! terryhugs4you.gif

In CCFS Part 1, Candy's Retrospection, there is a blank line before and after the phrase “Oh……Anthony! ……!

Maybe the blank pages for “Candy’s letter to Anthony” mean the same thing as the blank lines for that particular phrase.

Well dear Holly i will like to have more explanation about that phrase you mention!!

But also want to tell you that there are a lot of double spaces in the italian edition, separating some events inside a letter or a memory.... and i asume they are the same in the japanese version.

It seems nagita wanted us to think about some words and some events before continuing telling us what happened!!! it has been a very interesting exercise to read the novel because of that!!!

In the italian edition they kept the spaces... I think is so painful to Candy remember all what happened, so had to stop, breath .... and then continue talking about the fox hunt and the accident....

Do you believe there is an invisible thread linked between Anthony and Mr. Albert?

CCFS Volume 1, Page 218:

ああ……アンソニー! ……!

Oh……Anthony! ……!

The ellipsis punctuation marks……look like an invisible thread to me!

In the italian edition they kept the spaces... I think is so painful to Candy remember all what happened, so had to stop, breath .... and then continue talking about the fox hunt and the accident....

Do you believe there is an invisible thread linked between Anthony and Mr. Albert?

yes dear Holly!! i believe so!!!! if you don´t consider Terry in the story is obvious that Nagita wanted to present first the prince, to end the story with him and Anthony was the way to reach him... but Terry was in the middle and he changed everything!!!

The strange thing is that Candy never thought in Anthony when saw or talked with Albert!!!!
