After I realised that there would be a long time till my next NANA fix, I began searching for other animes in the same drawing style and of course with a great story line. That's how I got to know Paradise Kiss..........

PLOT summary:
To live up to the demands of an overbearing mother, high school senior Yukari has always been a student first and person later. But then she is spotted by a group of fashion school students who decide she's the perfect model for their new clothes line. Soon she is skipping school to hang out with a groups of (crazy) kids working hard to make their dreams a reality and before too long Yukari decides to find out if she can do the same.

It's so wonderful and resembles NANA so much! Not really the story but you get the same feeling watching this as you got with NANA.

It took me some getting used to when I saw that there where only twelwe episodes or so, as I love the really long animes like candy (115 eps) or others which are usually 50+, but the story is so romantic and the characters are really great and relatable.

A must-see!!!!!

This is a love story set in the 19th century london, where Emma is a maid who falls in love with mr. William Jounes of the gentry and he falls in love with her. They battle all the troubles that come when the barriers of class between a maid and a member of the gentry tries to keep them apart.

By the description it sounds really tacky and you would think that it's another bad "maid" anime, but this really is a great love story with a descent ending. The characters are likeable and the details in background and surrounding environment are really good and realistic. It may sound kliche but somehow this story works and doesn't feel tacky or tasteless at all.

If your in to the kind of sweet and gentle love romance with good endings then I highly recommend A victorian romance: Emma heartthumbs.gif

I don't think this is as popular as Candy Candy, but I just love this anime. So very lovable!

Anyone know it?

Hello everyone!

There has been alot of debating about the new novel that mizuki wrote after the court ruled that she didn't need igarashi's permit to do this, and I was wondering if this particular novel still was on the market and if so where it can be bought? I have heard great things about it, and even though it doesn't have any pictures, it wouldn't stop me from getting it. Besides, does anyone know if it where translated to any other languages than japanese?
